Gate 2 – Direction of the Self
Gate 2 is located in the G Center, the energetic core of love, direction, and identity.
Gate 2 is called many names - Allowing -The Way of Orientation - all based on the energy of this gate being the receptive - yin of feminine energy.
This is what can take us into the shadow - Richard Rudd calls it Dislocation - I think of it as Disorientation, we believe we are looking inside at our gifts and strengths, but we are not oriented to receiving.
As a result we are simply “busy” doing, fixing, and caretaking things that are not ours - exhausting ourselves, and often those around us.
It reminds me of an experience I had in childhood, around an adult party game.
I didn’t understand the game at all as a young child. But there is a reason it stuck with me all these years… this is how it played out…
All the women went into a room and were asked to come out one at a time. The rules of the game were “secret” my younger sister and I were told.
The men were waiting in the Living Room - with a blanket.
As each woman came out, she was instructed to sit in the middle of the floor. She was told they would place a blanket over her head. They had chosen something that they wanted her to take off. If she figured out what that was and took it off, she won the game.
None of the women figured it out. Why? Because the allusion was that the woman needed to “Undress.”
But the truth was - it was the blanket. All she had to take off was the blanket.
This is how our mind works however. We go to a place of familiarity - even at high cost.
That’s what I feel when I think of Gate 2.
In its shadow this gate brings the energy of confusion, disorientation, or an overwhelming pressure to “figure it all out.” When all along, you have the answer. It just seems too simple, too easy.
The energy of this Gate may lead you to feel like you should know where you’re going — that somehow, at this stage of life, you’re supposed to have a map.
But this Gate doesn’t work with maps. It works with trust. And when trust is difficult to access, the result is often panic, inertia, or chasing someone else’s path because you can’t see your own.
There’s a deep grief that comes with not knowing — and not being able to explain why.
Can we be open to receiving, to allowing truth, not assumptions, to guide our lives?
The Emotional Impact – The Gift
The Gift of Gate is Allowing
It is ironic that we fight the Gift of this of Gate 2. It is truly a gift - the openness to receiving.
This is not sitting back and waiting on things to just line up and come to you. It is not a passive, do-nothing way — on the contrary. I feel this is one of the most challenging things we can learn to do - surrender - in a way that allows clarity to arrive without force.
When this energy is honored, you feel a shift to your inner voice. You begin to feel aligned with something larger than logic. You stop pushing. You start listening.
This is the ultimate quiet power — the ability to follow your own internal navigation system, even when the road isn’t visible to anyone else. This is where direction becomes devotion.
The Highest Expression
In its highest expression, Gate 2 becomes a beacon — a still point that radiates effortless guidance. This is the energy of alignment without needing explanation. You become the embodiment of direction, not because you have a plan, but because you’ve stopped betraying your own resonance. Others feel it. You feel it. And the world begins to shape itself around your certainty.
Final Thoughts
This is not a week to force clarity. It’s a week to move gently. To create space. To let your body show you where yes lives. One practice: slow down long enough to notice when something pulls you forward versus drags you under. One truth: direction isn’t always loud. Sometimes it whispers.
The Earth Gate Transit – Gate 1: The Creative
This week, the Earth grounds us in Gate 1, located in the G Center — the gate of self-expression, creativity, and individuality.
Bridging the Sun and Earth:
Gate 2 points the way. Gate 1 reveals your light. Together, they offer this: Let life guide you. Let truth move you. Let expression arise from that place.
Gate 2 – The Receptive: Practical Ways to Work with the Energy
1. Create spaciousness for intuitive direction.
Gate 2 is about feminine receptivity — not passivity, but a deep inner alignment that allows direction to arise organically. Instead of pushing, allow. Create white space in your schedule. Rest. Walk. Journal. Clarity will come when you stop looking for it and start listening to it.
2. Trust that you don’t need to know the entire path.
This gate teaches that you don’t need the whole map to begin — just the next right step. When Gate 2 is activated, the “how” isn’t your job. The “what” and “why” are. Follow what feels right even if you can’t explain it yet.
3. Stop outsourcing your internal compass.
It’s easy to want validation — especially when life feels uncertain. Gate 2 reminds you: your direction is encoded within you. This week is not about crowd-sourcing your next move. It’s about reclaiming your own wisdom.
4. Let your environment reflect your alignment.
Gate 2 is also aesthetic — it’s attuned to harmony, beauty, and flow. Whether it’s your desk, your wardrobe, or your schedule, use the outer world as a reflection of inner alignment. If something feels “off,” it’s information.
Questions to Ponder under Gate 2’s Influence
Where in my life am I trying to force clarity instead of allowing it to emerge?
What would it feel like to trust the next step, even if the full plan isn’t visible?
Have I been silencing or dismissing my inner knowing in favor of logic, strategy, or others’ opinions?
If I stopped trying to figure it out, what would I naturally be drawn toward?
Final Note: This is a week to surrender to the inner compass. Stop forcing clarity. Let it come. Practice:
Do something intuitive, without explaining it.
Say no to what doesn’t resonate — even if it’s logical.
Create space to be led.
Let softness be your strength.

Gate 23 – Assimilation
Gate 23 is located in the Throat Center — the center of expression, manifestation, and communication.
About Gate 23: Gate 23 is known as the Gate of Assimilation. This is the energy of distilling complexity into simplicity — making abstract ideas digestible, meaningful, and useful. It’s about how we say things, not just what we say. When this energy is in alignment, it communicates breakthroughs with power and clarity. When out of alignment, it can feel abrupt, misunderstood, or even alienating.
Shadow:
Complexity In its shadow state, Gate 23 becomes mired in the need to over-explain, overcompensate, or prove what it knows.
Communication can feel disjointed or overwhelming — too much information, or not the right delivery. This shadow often stems from fear of not being understood or a history of being ignored or dismissed when speaking up.
The result? Isolation, frustration, or biting sarcasm as armor.
Like knocking on a door, but no one is home
The Emotional Impact – The Gift
Simplicity The gift of Gate 23 is the ability to make the complex simple. It’s the moment someone hears your words and suddenly gets it. This emotional impact is one of relief — like a weight lifted when things make sense. Simplicity isn’t about being shallow; it’s a form of mastery. It allows others to connect the dots they couldn’t access alone. When embodied, this gift brings precision, ease, and a quiet confidence that speaks volumes.
The Highest Expression
Quintessence At its highest, Gate 23 is an embodiment of truth expressed effortlessly. Quintessence is the distillation of experience, knowing, and timing — delivered in a single sentence that resonates through the soul. This expression doesn’t need to convince; it transforms simply through presence.
Three Key Questions to Contemplate:
What truth am I ready to express — even if it feels vulnerable or misunderstood?
Am I trying to convince or connect?
Where can I allow my words to land more softly — with trust, not force?
Earth Gate: Gate 43 – Insight Gate 43 is located in the Ajna Center and brings the grounding energy of inner knowing. This energy doesn’t always make logical sense but insists on being honored. When the Earth is in Gate 43, it supports grounded breakthroughs — trusting your unique perspective and giving voice to your insights.
Bridge Between Sun and Earth: Gate 23 wants to express. Gate 43 knows something worth expressing. Together, they create a channel of genius. But only when timing, trust, and alignment are honored.
Final Note: This transit invites you to speak from your essence, not your ego. Let the words come when they’re ready — and not a moment before. There is no rush to be understood.
Three Practices for Working with This Energy:
Practice silence: let your insights incubate.
Write down what you really want to say — then wait a day and read it again.
Share only when you feel grounded in the why, not pressured by the how
Full Moon
It’s a full moon in Gate 43 The Gate of Insight - a time to explore anything that is no longer in alignment with who we have become.
What once worked, the familiar - may have become comfort for us. Comfort is difficult to release. Comfort is an addiction - not an ally.
This full moon in Scorpio in Gate 43 is asking us to release self doubt.
To lean into the epiphanies we are experiencing, the knowing.
And it is asking us to trust that what we are here to share will be perfect when the time is right.
If, we can trust in ourselves.
So, what might you need to let go of - to make room for what you want?
What insights and inspirations have been drifting into your mind?
What are you excited about?
What do you see?
And lastly - what are you willing to let go of to birth these things?
Can you hold them sacred until you ‘KNOW it is the right time to share them?
That knowing will feel effortless and you will either be invited to share or find an eager audience waiting for you to share. You will know.
Can you trust this knowing?

Gate 8 – Contribution
Located in the Throat Center — the hub of expression, manifestation, and impact. Gate 8 channels energy into the world through style, influence, and how we choose to contribute.
Gate 8 is the voice of “I can make a contribution.” It carries a yearning to offer something authentic and creative to the collective — not to gain recognition, but because it is true to the self..
This energy doesn’t force impact.
It offers
And if the timing is right, the world responds.
What do you withhold from yourself, for pleasure, for the sheer joy of doing it- because you hesitate, wondering if it will be received? Accepted? Appreciated?
What if the “Gift” your contribution to the world is showing up unafraid to be yourself?
What if your originality spurned someone else to let their “freak” flag fly? What if it created a ripple effect? What if, by this very “seemingly insignificant” gesture, acceptance and love were fostered for all?
What if?
The Shadow
Mediocrity In the shadow of Gate 8, there’s a fear of insignificance. You might feel like what you offer isn’t enough, or that it’s pointless to try. This can lead to conforming, withholding your truth, or chasing approval to validate your worth. At its worst, this shadow leads to performance instead of presence.
The Gift
Style When expressed as a gift, Gate 8 becomes a channel of originality, showing up in subtle but striking ways. This isn’t about “standing out” — it’s about being deeply in tune with your own rhythm and offering that to the world without expectation. Emotionally, this energy feels like quiet confidence — grounded, present, unmistakably authentic.
The Highest Expression
Exquisiteness In its highest form, Gate 8 embodies a refined, magnetic grace. It doesn’t need to speak loudly. It influences through presence alone — a silent offering of what is possible when we live in integrity with ourselves.
Questions to Contemplate:
Am I withholding my contribution because I fear it won’t be received?
What part of my originality am I being called to honor right now?
How can I offer without performing?
Earth Gate: Gate 14 — Power Skills (Sacral Center) Gate 14 brings the energy of sustainable power and doing meaningful work. It asks: Is this contribution fueled by what I truly love — or by what I think I “should” do? It grounds Gate 8’s need to express with a reminder that real contribution is energizing, not depleting.
Bridge Between Sun and Earth Gates: Gate 8 wants to offer. Gate 14 ensures that what is offered is sustainable. Together, they whisper: Align your voice with your vitality. Let what you express come from a place that feeds you, not drains you.
Final Note: Gate 8 teaches us the art of contributing without sacrificing self. You don’t need to force your impact. You just need to be honest about what wants to be expressed through you.
Three Practices to Anchor This Energy:
Let yourself create something just because it feels good — not for praise.
Pay attention to where you’re performing vs. offering.
Ask yourself: If no one applauded, would I still offer this?
