Every story begins with a dream — this one started in Paris.

As a woman who watched her amazing mother give up on life — prematurely

for something  she couldn't name and couldn't own — I learned the cost of surrender before I had a word for it.

Her body didn’t fail for lack of effort. It failed for lack of belief and direction.

She had handed over her dreams, her voice, her permission, her own knowing — without realizing she was doing it - for a version of love she was told to want. By the time she understood she could have written a different ending, there wasn't enough left to keep going. That is what got me into this work. And turned it from a career into a mission

I refuse to watch one more brilliant woman surrender her life by inches in the name of anything that asks her to shrink or disappear or give up on who she is. 

This is why I'm here - for you. You are powerful. Educated. Accomplished. You are already all the things you strive to be seen for. You are loved, needed, more than you know. 

You just get to own that. It is a simple, but profound process.

I know this because when my second marriage came to a close, I saw myself in my mother's shoes. I saw the patterns that I now see in every high achieving, over-functioning, burned out, broken hearted woman I talk to. 

What I learned - excavating my own life - training, studying, searching is this: You do not have a self discipline problem. It is a self betrayal problem that presents as self sabotage, self doubt, criticism, playing small and showing up for everyone except yourself.
